During a recent stop-and-search operation in Cydonia Road, Primrose Hill, the Primrose police arrested a 20-year-old man.
“Officers noticed the man carrying a plastic bag.
“When he saw the police, the man changed direction suddenly,” explained communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.
The police stopped him and asked to search him and the plastic bag he was carrying.
During the search they found clothes.
The man could not produce proof of purchase for the clothes.
He was arrested and charged with the possession of suspected stolen property.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
