Get into the Christmas spirit with great comedy

Up and coming comedians to showcase their talent.

Are you in need of a good laugh?

Then don’t miss out on the all-white Christmas comedy event presented by Stand Up & Coming comedians – Donavan Goliath, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Dusty Rich and Glen Biderman-Pam.

The show takes place on October 24 at the Lyric theatre at Gold Reef City and it’s a night of all things Christmas-related.

Produced by Mannequine Pictures, Stand Up & Coming is an exclusive comedy event, showcasing four of South Africa’s emerging comedians in a theme-based episode performed in front of a live audience.

The comedy special will later be featured on DSTV’s Box Office, a satellite-based, video-on-demand service available to DSTV premium subscribers.

Donovan David Goliath, generally known as the coloured boy who looks white and speaks fluent Xhosa, began his stand-up career in 2010 at the Comedy Underground in Melville, Johannesburg, where he performed his first ever four minute set.

He further took part in Blacks Only and the Soweto Comedy Festival and also completed a month run for LOL! at Gold Reef City.

Schalk Bezuidenhout was most recently involved in Trevor Noah’s Nation Wild Tour, he has also featured on Comedy Central as a support act for Barry Hilton and is a SA Comic’s Choice winner.

Bezuidenhout is fast becoming one of South Africa’s most sought after Afrikaans comedians.

Dusty Rich is well-known for performances at various major festivals including Splashy Fen and Rocking the Daisies.

Originally from Durban, Rich made the move to Johannesburg, becoming a frequent feature on some of the most popular stages such as the Parker’s Comedy Club.

Glen Biderman-Pam is a theatre and performance graduate from UCT.

He made his professional debut in 2013, appearing on Comedy Central several times where he won the open mic competition after only 10 months in the industry.

He has been nominated twice for the Savanna Comics Choice Awards and has performed internationally at the Perth Fringe World Festival.

In December 2014 he opened for Barry Hilton and more recently, Eugene Khoza at the Lyric.
