CPF urges residents to park vehicles inside their properties

Are you putting your community at risk?

The Primrose CPF is warning the community to park their vehicles in their properties, behind closed gates.

“It has been observed by the community patrollers and SAPS that many residents still leave their vehicles parked outside their properties,” said Wendy Morgan, chairman of the Primrose CPF.

“Yes, you may have insurance, but by doing this you are encouraging criminals to enter the area and thus putting everyone who lives in your neighbourhood at risk.

“Please consider your fellow community members and park your cars and those of visitors inside.”

Morgan added that community members should be aware that crime tends to increase at this time of the year and people should be extra vigilant while out shopping, driving home or entering their properties.

The Primrose SAPS sector police vans can be contacted on:

  • Sector One: 071 675 6864/5.
  • Sector Two: 071 675 6866/7.
  • Sector Three: 071 675 6868/9.

The Primrose Police Station can be contacted on 011 842-0500/0522.
