A side impact accident between a motorbike and a BMW along Lake Road in Germiston has left a biker dead.
“A report from the scene indicated that the bike had slammed into the passenger side of the car at around 6.20pm on Sunday,” said Chris Botha, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.
“Exact details to the cause of the accident, however, will remain part of the police investigation.”
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene and found that the motorbike had broken up into several pieces.
The biker, who was found several metres from the wreckage, died on impact.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries but did not require medical assistance.
