The newly formed Elsburg Boxing Academy is growing from strength to strength.
The academy was established earlier this year, in June (GCN, July 17).
“We are going strong and have been since we started,” said the academy’s founder and main coach, Dannie Putter.
“We have 78 boxers on our attendance list and growing every day, which, I believe, definitely makes us the strongest boxing academy so far.
“I’m proud to say we have six committed coaches who have passed their coaching and judging courses.
“In the first month, we graded 11 boxers and by the looks of things very soon we will have close to 30 members ready to be active in the ring.
“I strongly believe that we will grow to become one of the best boxing academies in the country.
“We are going big, there is a lot of South African championship potential at the academy.”
