Three alleged hijackers were shot and seriously wounded on the N12 highway, last Tuesday, September 1, just before the Jet Park, Boksburg off-ramp. According to the GCN’s sister newspaper, the Boksburg Advertiser, five alleged hijackers were arrested by the police after the shoot-out.

The Elsburg SAPS are investigating a case of attempted murder after two alleged suspects were shot.

Residents from several Germiston suburbs were recently left without water for up to three days. Frustrated with the lack of information they received from the metro they contacted the GCN to try and get clarification on the issue.
