CPF warns residents to make sure they are alert, crime is increasing

Be alert and aware warns CPF.

Housebreakings and the theft of motor vehicles are on the increase.

This is according to the Primrose CPF.

“Ensure that your gate cannot be lifted off its rails – have a metal plate welded onto the top of it,” said Wendy Morgan, chairman of the Primrose CPF.

“Also, do not leave valuables in your vehicle.

“Lock your vehicles and park them on your property where they are not visible.”

Morgan added that CPF patrollers have noticed that residents have been leaving their front doors and their security gates open.

“This makes you extremely vulnerable,” she said.

“Ensure that your outside gates are closed and locked at night.”

The CPF is also selling reflective house number boards for Sectors Two and Three.

“It is important that your house number is visible in case of an emergency, so that you can be found quickly when you need help,” Morgan said.

Call 083 769 9451 for Sector Two boards and 082 963 3328 for Sector Three boards.
