The community of Primrose took to the streets last Sunday, August 2, to take a stand against crime.
In addition to the estimated 200 community members, members of the CPF, personnel from local security companies Mamba Strike Force, Top Security and Chubb Security, members of the EMPD K9 Unit, SAPS and EMPD officers, the HACC Ministries, and members of the Christian Bikers Club took part in the march.
The group, armed with anti-crime posters and banners, met at Hoërskool Vryburger High School and marched along several streets, including Churchill Avenue, Gorst Street, Beaconsfield Avenue, Castor Road and Main Road.
“It was a successful day, with the surprise arrest of five suspects who allegedly robbed a local store during the march,” said Wendy Morgan, chairman of the Primrose CPF.
“Well done to all involved in the march and arrests.
