The Primrose police visited the Kruis Kinders Aftercare during National Child Protection Week (CPW), which was held from May 31 to June 7.
National Child Protection Week (CPW) is commemorated in South Africa annually to raise awareness of the rights of children as articulated in the Children’s Act of 2005.
This year’s theme was “Working Together to Protect Children” and was celebrated from May 31 to June 7.
To raise awareness in the Primrose community during CPW, the Primrose police visited the Kruis Kinders Aftercare.
Officers and members of the Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk taught the children from the aftercare about crime and what rights they, as children, have to defend themselves against crime.
