Primrose police are continuing their efforts in tackling the drug problem in Primrose.
An example of this was the recent arrest of a 35-year-old man in Rietfontein Road.
He was found in possession of a small plastic bag, containing a substance believed to be drugs.
The man was stopped by members of the Germiston Cluster SAPS task team during a routine patrol of the area.
He was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station, pending his appearance in court.
“We are appealing to our community to refrain from using drugs.
“We will continue to fight the drug problem in the area,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The accused has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for trial.
