Members of the Katlehong police recently arrested two young girls, aged 16 and 17, on charges of theft.
It is alleged that the accused broke into a home in Katlehong South and made off with a DVD writer, shoes, belts and a cellphone.
When the owner, who had been away, returned, she discovered that the items were missing and opened a formal case with the Katlehong police.
The two girls were released after their arrest with a warning, due to their age.
