Motorcyclist critical after crash
Biker rushed to hospital with critical injuries after accident .
A man is in a critical condition following an accident on Simon Bekker Road, near Lower Boksburg Road, in Germiston, on Thursday morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene and found a motorcyclist lying on the road.
The driver of the vehicle Marie van Zyl told the GCN that the motorcyclist lost control of his motorbike for some reason and swerved into her vehicle.
“It happened so fast and I feel really sorry for the man, there was no chance for me to avoid the collision,” said van Zyl.
Upon assessment of the 27-year-old motorcyclist, paramedics found that the man had sustained critical injuries.
“The injured man was treated on the scene, placed on a trauma board and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care he required,” said Santi Steinmann, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.
The occupants in the motor vehicle did not have to be treated on scene for any visible injuries.
