Help keep animals warm this winter

Animals starting to feel the cold as winter approaches.

There is a definite chill in the air and winter is fast approaching.

The animals at the Germiston SPCA do not have much protection against the cold, in their kennels.

To this end, the SPCA is appealing to the community to help keep the animals warm, by donating an infrared heater, at a cost of R300.

The aim is to place heaters in every kennel.

“If this is an unaffordable amount for a person to donate, any donation towards the cost of the heaters will be hugely appreciated,” said Michelle Falgate, chairman of the Germiston SPCA.

“Payment can be made at the SPCA’s offices in Junction Road, Driehoek or via EFT.”

Donations of blankets would also be appreciated.

“We are in desperate need of blankets for our animal friends,” Falgate said.

“Old or new, every blanket and heater will make a huge difference to the comfort of our homeless pets.”

The Germiston SPCA’s banking details are as follows: SPCA Germiston, First National Bank, Eastgate branch, branch code: 257-705, account number: 51112716150, reference: Heat.
