The Elsburg police are investigating a case of murder after a men was stabbed and killed in Wadeville, recently.
The man was attacked on March 31, at about noon, and stabbed in his upper body near the Wadeville Train Station.
“It is alleged that two men chased each other out of the Wadeville Train Station.
“They were fighting due to old grudges between them, as well as fighting over a girlfriend,” said Const Daphney Phooko, the communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.
One of the men was stabbed in the upper body with a knife and he died in the arms of police officers while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
The suspect fled the scene but Elsburg police officers tracked him down to Spruitview, and he was arrested in the early hours of the morning on April 1.
He was detained at the Elsburg Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court on a charge of murder.
