CPF urges community to be alert

Primrose CPF warns community to be aware of an increase in hijackings.

The Primrose CPF is warning the community to be highly alert, especially when coming home in the evenings.

Wendy Morgan, chairman of Primrose Sector Two and a member of the Primrose CPF, said: “Be careful, as there appears to be an increase in hijackings at this time of the year, between 5pm and 8pm.

“Be aware of your surroundings when you come home and make sure you are not followed from work or the shops.

“Don’t stop in your driveway, rather stop in the street until your gate has been opened.”

She also advised the community to make sure their gates are closed when they are either leaving or returning to their properties.

“When you go to bed at night check that your gate is closed,” she said.

Morgan added that a lot of crimes appear to be happening during the day, so people who are at home should be extra careful.
