With Team Hope every smile counts

Another successful Christmas party for Team Hope.

Team Hope’s third annual Christmas party was held at the Ithembelihle Lsen School, in Primrose East, on Saturday, November 22.

The team hosted the party for all the charity homes they currently support.

These include Rekopane Inclusive Development Centre, Remme-Los and Dolphin House, Manger Care Centre, Parker Harriers, the Ithembelihle Lsen School as well as a number of private homes from the area.

The community was invited to volunteer and spend a day with Team Hope and the children from the homes.

The children were treated to a fun-filled day filled with with musicians, jumping castles, clowns, face-painting, football freestylers and lots more.

“We had about 550 children attending the party,” said event organiser Arveen Singh.

The team was prepared for the weather this year, with a large, decorated marquee set up on the school’s field, to protect those in attendance from the elements.

“Santa Clause was also on hand to deliver gifts to the children,” added Singh.

The communities were invited to dress according to a Christmas theme and join in the day’s activities.

Team Hope, all the volunteers and community members, as well as the day’s sponsors RDG’s team, Fedex, Supersport, Dischem Foundation, Lego SA, ASA Steel Tech, Parker Hannifin Africa, Ammajo clothes, Variprint Systems, NBCFC/EE, Just Curries, Vodacom and Hope SA enjoyed a day filled with smiles and fun, and even a Team Hope cream cake.
