An intensive three-day search for the man wanted in connection with the recent murder of a three-year-old boy in Reiger Park has paid off.

Members of the EMPD Public Order Policing Unit nabbed the man, who goes by the name of “Chicken”, at 4pm on Wednesday, in Lambton.

“Chicken” was confronted by the Metro Police in Piercy Avenue and, when asked who he was, he gave the police a false name.

He changed his tune when the officers produced a photo of him and it was only then that he admitted he was “Chicken” from Ramaphosa.

The 25- year-old man was handed over to SAPS members at the Germiston Police Station.
