Children learn about crime issues

Police discuss crime issues with local children.

Pupils at Primrose Hill Primary School were thrilled to receive a visit from members of the Primrose SAPS, last Monday.

The police officers, accompanied by members of the Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk, addressed the children about various crimes.

Various topics, including bullying, stealing, the sniffing of benzene, bunking and loitering in school uniform, were discussed.

The members of the Crime Prevention Youth Desk put on an educational drama to entertain the pupils.

In his talk to the children, Sgt Styles Maome encouraged them to study hard and to respect their teachers, because they are their “parents at school”.
