The Rand Air Show wows

Thrills, daring feats and magnificent aerial displays.

The 12th annual Rand Air Show was held at Rand Airport, last Sunday.

The annual air show draws in crowds from all over the East Rand for a day filled with thrills, daring feats and magnificent aerial displays.

The crowd was treated to performances by the world renowned Eqstra Flying Lions, T28 Trojans, Yaks, a full refurbished Dakota, Fighter Jets, P51 Mustang, RV 7 Homebuilt Aircraft Aerobatics, Sukhoi 29 solo aerobatics, Solo Helicopter, SAAF Silver Falcons as well as a Mazda car versus plane race.

While the air show offers crowds a thrilling day out, it also gives the pilots of Rand Airport an opportunity to get together as a group and enjoy an event aimed at fostering good will, harmony and fellowship.
