“When meeting someone, put on the location setting of your phone or send someone a pin drop. Exercise caution because the person you met on the dating app can be a criminal pretending to be someone else.

“Meeting strangers raises your chances of being kidnapped, human trafficked or even scammed.

“There is a free app that you can download to your phone so you can always track where your friends or family members are. The app is free and called Life 360,” said Enslin.
