GCN asked young girls what they think about women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) and whether enough is being done to expose young women to the opportunities.

Ryleigh Human:
“To see women in the STEAM field is inspirational and evident that women are cable and have so much to offer, I believe the future for women in the STEAM field is looking good.”

 

Katleho Mokoena:
“It’s amazing to have women in the STEAM field. They are breaking stereotypes and making an impact. I believe they are paving a way for more women to get into this field.”

 

Resedi Mollo:
“Women in STEAM I think they are making valuable contributions and offer platform where girls can learn more about the field mean opportunities are available for women.”

 

Kiasha Sookai:
“It is exciting that women are entering the STEAM space because I believe we have something to offer. Exhibitions like TechnoX are wonderful platforms to ensure girls get exposed to this field and inspire interest.”
Nneka Akah:
“It’s inspirational to see women in the STEAM field because it means more opportunities are offered to women. Even though there are not many of them, with a platform like TechnoX more will get into the industry.”
