Germiston musical group releases hits

Their music has been enjoyed even internationally and they continue to grow their fan base.

Germiston-based group Latin Extreme continues to cement its place in the music industry.

Their first album was released in 2016 and was well-received by fans and since then they have not looked back.

Their music has been enjoyed even internationally and they continue to grow their fan base. Latin Extreme consists of three members Sfiso Hadede (DJ kam), Sphelele Mbatha (DJ Native) and Nkosinathi Handebe (da coffee).

The group started in high school by entertaining people in their hometown of Osizweni.

They matured in their musical style when they move to Johannesburg to pursue their dreams.

“We believe we have a unique sound, which is Afro tech because it can accommodate any genre of music. Music is versatile, so it provides an opportunity to explore,” said Sfiso.

He said they are inspired to continue to explore the musical landscape after seeing how the music has been received.

“One of our songs we released in 2010 titled Namhlanje Angisenamali became a hit to the extent that it got played on international radio in New York, known as Iheart. That was a confirmation for us that our sound is loved,” said Sfiso.

In 2020 they released another hit titled Ithemba Lami ft Ray T.

“The song did very well on all radio stations including Gagasi FM. The song also got nominated for a SATMA award,” shares Sfiso.

This year they have released Ngwanaa Ga Mme ft Fifi Afrika.

“We are excited about this album and we hope it will do well as the others. But most importantly we hope our fans love and enjoy it,” said Sfiso.

He said music is a language and those who listen and support them will understand the language.
