Boxing giants go head to head at Emperors

Some of the fighters from Edenvale-based Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy who will enter the ring include Roarke Knapp, Shervantaigh Koopman, Ricardo Malajika and Keanu Koopman.

Boxing fans can look forward to a night of entertainment as boxers from Edenvale and Primrose take to the ring on March 18.

Some fighters from the Edenvale-based Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy who will enter the ring include Roarke Knapp, Shervantaigh Koopman, Ricardo Malajika and Keanu Koopman.

They will fight on the undercard fights of the Peril@The Palace Box and Dine Tournament at the Palace of Dreams Centre Court.

Shervantaigh will take on Jackson Kaptein of Bloemfontein for the SA junior middleweight title, scheduled for 12 rounds.

His younger brother Keanu will face Xolani Selimane in a four-round welterweight bout.

Malajika will have his work cut out for him when he steps into the ring against Adrian ‘Wild Beast’ Lerasan of the Philippines

The two will face each other in a 10-round bantamweight contest.

While 28-year-old Shervantaigh is on 10-0, Keanu only turned professional last year and has two wins under his belt.

Both Koopmans will be looking to continue their winning spell.
