Letter: Local motorist escapes crime on the road

EDITOR – I travel to Activia Park, Elandsfontein, daily.

On January 31 at 07:00 at the N12’s Edenvale Road off-ramp at the corner of Germiston Road, a man approached my vehicle and banged on my window with a firearm.

I immediately started hooting.

He noticed that I was not alone in the car and ran to the other side.

Guys on the back of a bakkie chased the guy.

My sister experienced the same incident at the same spot recently.

I hereby wish to make people aware that this is a hot spot and please be vigilant when travelling in the area.

I believe a crime hot spot sign needs to be erected.
