“We envision it having the same success, if not more. Germiston CBD area used to have a few netball teams.

“Of late we have received a lot of requests to start one and we are honouring the call,” said chairperson Seaparo Ramaube.

The club will be based at the Germiston Stadium netball courts. Registration will open on July 1.

Team trials and practice sessions will be announced on the same day.

“Women can expect to be trained by new and exciting coaches. They will play against other teams in tournaments all over Ekurhuleni, and have fun in the process.

“Our goal is to produce better players by the time the school and club leagues start again next year. Until then, we will not stop playing,” said Ramaube.

Girls from as young as 10 and women up to 70 years are welcome.
