Group B includes TotalNet Alberton, Vosloorus Ladies, Soweto Academy, Spartans Ladies and Malvern Jumpers Ladies.

“We are proud of Germiston as it registered its first women’s team including our u-14 provincial prodigy Tshiamo Mogapi and our BNL veteran Sihle Ngwenya,” said head coach Seaparo Ramaube.

The rest of the team are beginners who have been playing for less than a year.

The team consists of Samukelisiwe Dlamini, Olethukholo Jamani, Happy Palesa, Usher Matinyadze, Chichi Okunwa Bolu, Lwandle Khumalo and Thato Sethiba.

Two games were played on the day, which offered the opportunity to see how the team performs.

“Both games were tough and showed we still have a lot to learn. The girls are still very young. Most of them are much younger than our opponents. Now we know what we need to work on,” said coach Motheo Pule.
