Emergency services are working at the scene of a crash between a taxi and truck in Germiston.

It is believed that five passengers of the taxi were entrapped in the vehicle following the crash.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown and the intersection of Linton Jones Road and Miller Streets in Germiston are closed to traffic.

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes until the scene can be cleared.
