Planned water interruption in Germiston

This is due to the bulk water supplier, Rand Water, working on their G17 pipeline.

The City of Ekurhuleni announced  a planned water supply interruption which will take place from 07:00 on Friday, 12 November to 09:00 on Monday, 14 November 2021 in Germiston.

This is due to the bulk water supplier, Rand Water, working on their G17 pipeline.

The work the Rand Water will do is necessary to maintain uninterrupted water supply to CoE consumers.

The following areas will be affected:

  • Albemarle
  • Albemarle Extension 1
  • Dinwiddie
  • Wadeville
  • Germiston East Industrial
  • Castleview
  • Lambton
  • Raceway Industrial
  • Gosforth Park

Eight water tankers and six stationary Jojo tanks will be dispatched and located at the following points:

  • Corner Hawaii Street & Java Crescent, Gosforth Park
  • Corner Grag & Kasteel Avenues
  • Corner Sunstone & Brookhill Roads, Castleview
  • Corner De Beer Road & Broodboom Street, Union
  • Corner Cornelius Road & Hatfield Avenue, Albermarle
  • Corner Grey Avenue & Cardiff Road, Dinwiddie
  • Corner Finchley Road & Exford Avenue, Dinwiddie
  • Corner Jersey Road & Cheam Crescent, Dinwiddie
  • Corner Oxted Ave and Conway Crescent

Consumers are also encouraged to store sufficient water for the duration of the shutdown.
