#IMadeMyMark: Voters want to hear from candidates

We aim to assist our readers in making informed decisions and for this reason, candidates' replies to the questions will be published in our print feature and/or our website.

With the announcement that the 2021 municipal elections will take place on November 1, the NEWS/GCN/Express/Thembisan invites all ward councillor candidates to come forward.

Our municipal elections’ advertising feature will be published in the October 2021 edition and we urge candidates to contact the editor, Marietta Lombard, who will provide candidates with ward-specific questions to answer.

We aim to assist our readers in making informed decisions and for this reason, candidates’ replies to the questions will be published in our print feature and/or our website.

The closing date for contacting Lombard is September 22/25 at 17:00.

Candidates can email the editor at mlombard@caxton.co.za and the subject must include: 2021 Municipal Elections, the candidate’s name, ward and political affiliation.

The NEWS/GCN/Express/Thembisan does not endorse any specific political party or candidate and only aims to help our readers make an informed decision.

Residents must include the question, who the question is addressed to, ward details, contact number and relevant address/location.
