Suspect arrested for assualt
On June 16, a 36-year-old suspect was arrested in Primrose for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm in Makause informal settlement. “The complainant alleged she was at her boyfriend’s place drinking with friends and the boyfriend came and asked her why is she dancing while holding a child in her arms.
On June 16, a 36-year-old suspect was arrested in Primrose for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm in Makause informal settlement.
“The complainant alleged she was at her boyfriend’s place drinking with friends and the boyfriend came and asked her why is she dancing while holding a child in her arms. An argument ensued and the boyfriend assaulted her,” said Primrose police spokesperson Styles Maome.

“She fell down with the baby. The next morning she noticed her swollen eye and that she needed medical attention.”
The suspect was traced and arrested. He was detained at Primrose SAPS, charged with assault GBH and domestic violence.
He appeared in Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where the matter was remanded for plea and trial.
