Dukhathole couple arrested
The duo faces charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substances and the possession of suspected stolen state property.
EMPD officers arrested a couple in possession of narcotics and a laptop registered to a Gauteng public school on March 19 in Dukathole.
EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng said the two had in their possession a black state-owned Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) laptop and narcotics, which included 92 knotted plastic bags of nyaope and Mandrax tablets, valued at R5 650.
They also carried R570 cash, believed to be proceeds accumulated wrongfully.

“The man and woman were arrested at 8pm by the EMPD anti-drugs squad who stopped and searched them on Malgas Street.”
