Smash-and-grab incidents a growing concern in Primrose

Maome urged the community to remove any valuables from their vehicles.

Primrose police recently warned the community of Primrose to be extra cautious of smash-and-grab thieves. Primrose Police SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome said local motorists and those visiting the area should be vigilant when stopping at traffic lights.

The officer said the hotspot areas are corner Shamrock and Main Reef roads, corner Stanley and Main Reef roads, and corner Johann Rissik and Main Reef roads. “Residents must keep their windows and doors locked. “Do not talk on your cellphone while driving and keep valuable items such as cellphones and laptops out of sight.”
