Elspark top learner bags five distinctions

The time I’ve been a Hoërskool Elspark learner has been one of the best times of my school career.

Hoërskool Elspark top learner Marika Louw achieved five distinctions in Afrikaans, English, physical science, life orientation and engineering graphics and design.
The school is proud of Marika’s achievements and wishes her success in her future.

Marika said she is grateful for her parents’ support and encouragement. “My parents have told me that I could achieve anything I put my mind to and I could always count on their support and motivation,” she added.

The 2020 matric learner said her parents have given her life lessons that she will use. “I honestly don’t think I would’ve come this far without the life lessons my parents have taught me. Things like time management, hard work, balance and persistence. These are important skills to have to grow to our full potential. “They taught me to have vision and determination to give my all in everything I do. The support my family gives, along with these skills, motivates me to succeed in everything I do,” said Marika.

She will be enrolling for a bachelor’s in physiotherapy. She then plans to obtain Master’s degree part-time whilst working. “I can’t believe my school career has come to an end. Being an adult seems so strange. The time I’ve been a Hoërskool Elspark learner has been one of the best times of my school career. I’ve made some incredible friends and met some of the most passionate educators I know. They made me feel welcomed and most importantly, they made me feel at home,” said Marika.
