Flock around Brainy Birds this Valentine’s Day

To comply with Covid-19 regulations, the event will be limited to 10 couples and is based on a first pay, first booked policy.

With the month of love upon Edenvale, Brainy Birds Parrot Rescue and Rehabilitation Sanctuary will host a Valentine’s Day picnic.

The NPO is set to host the event as its first fund-raiser since the NPO acquired the property in December.
Through the support of the community, the NPO raised the necessary funds to purchase the property.

Founder Dee Hendrickx said the funds raised from the event will be used to cover the running costs of the sanctuary.
Set to be held on February 14, the picnic will be held at the parrot sanctuary between 3pm and 6pm.

Dee said social distancing will be adhered to and couples will be spaced out through the sanctuary as much as possible.

Tickets will cost R400 and need to paid in full to secure a booking.

The light lunch picnic basket will include:
• Sparkling non-alcoholic wine
• Bread
• Cold meat
• Cheese
• Fruit
• Sweet treats
