Two men were arrested for rape in Primrose on October 24.
According to Primrose SAPS spokesperson Sgt Styles Maome, the men were arrested for the same offence in separate incidents, on the same day.
The first incident happened in Makause informal settlement at about 4pm.
“The complainant alleged she was walking around in the informal settlement, looking for her boyfriend at the taverns.
“While walking she felt a tap on her shoulder. When she turned around to see who it was, she was hit with an object on her upper body. She collapsed and when she regained consciousness she found a man on top of her. He was raping her,” said Maome.
He told GCN the woman screamed in an attempt to alert others, but the man then dragged her into a shack where he threatened her with a sharp object.
“He continued to rape her. She was further assaulted when he forced a foreign object inside her. He then told her to go.”

The second incident happened in Delport informal settlement in Germiston at about 9pm.
“The complainant alleged her boyfriend had left with the keys to their home and she went to bed at about 8pm.
She told police that about an hour later she noticed her landlord inside her home and asked him how he got inside as the door had been locked. The man did not answer.
“He tried strangling her and he beat her. He then undressed her and raped her. He then left.”
Maome said both incidents were reported to the police and the two suspects were located and arrested.
“They appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and both cases were postponed for a plea,” said Maome.
