Germiston SAPS nabs 64 suspects

Germiston police share their latest arrest statistics.

In a continued effort to curb crime in their precinct, the Germiston SAPS took to the streets in several operations between April 27 and May 6.

The operations led to the arrest of 64 suspects.

The suspects were arrested on a number of different charges.

Offences included domestic violence, common assault, theft, common robbery, hijacking, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an unlicensed firearm, malicious damage to property and theft of a motor vehicle.

A number of illegal immigrants were also arrested.

All of the arrested suspects were taken to the Germiston Police Station pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
