Man arrested after taking client’s car

A man has been arrested for taking a client's car without permission.

A 30-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police, on charges of using a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner, and theft.

“It is alleged that the complainant took his vehicle to a place in Rietfontein Road to be fixed and later received information from a colleague that he had seen the vehicle being driven by an unknown man,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.

The complainant went to the business where he had left his vehicle and could not find the mechanic or his car.

He followed up on information and finally located the mechanic and his vehicle two days later, in Windmill Park, Boksburg.

The complainant alleged that the radio, amplifier and two speakers were missing from the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested.
