Primrose police celebrate officers’ promotions

Forty officers from the Primrose Police Station were recently promoted.

“Through your hard work and commitment we have managed to maintain law and order and we will continue to do so.”

These were the words of Primrose SAPS station commander Col Albertina Vesi during a special ceremony at the station recently.

During the ceremony, 40 of the station’s officers were promoted, 39 constables to sergeants and one sergeant to warrant officer.

“Your hard work has not been in vain,” said Vesi.

“These promotions are well deserved and celebrated.

“We are very proud of you and remind you of your vows to protect and serve.”

The officers were in high spirits as they received their new ranks.

Vesi reminded the officers to keep flying the national flag high and serve the community with pride.

“I leave you with a quote by Zizo Jika Izinto ‘Brighten the corner where you are and things will turn around’,” she said.
