Young wrestlers hone their skills

The wrestlers from the Raptors Wrestling Club continued to hone their skills, this time in the Mufasa Challenge in Randburg.

Several of the club’s wrestlers competed in the event at the Danie van Zyl Recreation Centre.

Their results were:

• Shannon Jansen van Rensburg won a gold medal in girls’ freestyle and in boys’ freestyle.

• Tiaan Jansen van Rensburg won a gold medal in boys’ freestyle.

• Jaun Vorster won a gold medal in boys’ freestyle.

• Luhan Herman won a gold medal in boys’ freestyle.

• Dewald de Wet (Jnr) won a gold medal in boys’ freestyle and in Greco Roman.

• Ada Smith won a gold medal in boys’ freestyle and a silver medal in Greco Roman

• Daniella de Wet won a silver medal in boys’ freestyle and a bronze medal in girls’ freestyle.

• Jason Russel won a silver medal in boys’ freestyle.

• Joubert Deale won a silver medal in Greco Roman and a bronze medal in boys’ freestyle.

• Ciara Deale won a bronze medal in girls’ freestyle.

• Nathan van Niekerk won a bronze medal in boys’ freestyle.
