Parents-to-be get some helpful tips on the pregnancy journey

Life Roseacres Hospital hosted their annual informative and interactive Little Life Pregnancy and Baby Workshop, last Saturday.

The journey to parenthood is filled with excitement and special moments, but also some uncertainty.

With this in mind, Life Roseacres Hospital hosted their annual Little Life Pregnancy and Baby Workshop, at the hospital, last Saturday.

The morning workshop, which was attended by a number of expecting parents, aimed to celebrate everything about pregnancy, as well as to offer parents-to-be some helpful tips on what to expect during pregnancy and when the baby arrives.

A pregnancy-related talk by Sr Mariè van Heerden was given on the day to offer the guests more insight into the different areas of pregnancy and why pregnancy preparation is so important.

“Congratulations to all the dads who got it right,” said Mariè during her talk, which was entitled #thanksdads.

“We have to acknowledge that fathers and the support system of the mother-to-be play a huge role in pregnancy.

“Often, dads may feel distanced from the pregnancy as they do not carry the baby, but it is important that they know the role they need to play as the man behind the bump.

“It is just as important to remember that a pregnant woman needs support throughout her journey.”
