Young wrestlers bring home medals
Several members of the Raptors Wrestling Club recently competed in the Frank Joubert Open Championships.
Twenty-two young wrestlers from the Primrose-based Raptors Wrestling Club recently travelled to Menlo Park to compete in the Frank Joubert Open Championships.
The championships saw 300 wrestlers from clubs across Gauteng competing for top honours.

The Raptors’ hard work paid off as the club brought home 15 medals from the championships.
Charné Herman, Daniella de Wet, Ciara Deale, Shannon Jansen van Rensburg, Tiaan Jansen van Rensburg, Anton Strydom and Jaun Vorster all won gold medals.
Luhan Herman earned a silver medal and Caleb Botha and Daniella de Wet bronze medals.

Dewald de Wet (who was also awarded a bronze medal), Jobert Deale (who was also awarded a bronze medal) and Ada Smith all earned silver medals in the Greco Roman division.
