Football club shares the love at Ithembelihle

Local football club gives back to the community.

It was all about love last Saturday at Ithembelihle Lsen School when the children received a special visit from Primrose Masters FC.

And in fact, chairperson of the club Thabo Taunyane said the theme of the day was To Give Love as the club members came to spend time with the children.

Primrose Masters FC has been playing out of Primrose for the past seven years, and the members felt it was time to start giving back to the community.

Sello Matseletsele, the coordinator for the club, said, “We chose Ithembelihle Lsen School to start our project as the children are vulnerable and need to be shown love and attention.

“We are planning to visit more schools in the Primrose area and then move our project out into the rest of Ekurhuleni and the country.”

The children were treated to a day of fun and laughter with drama group Makoporosh entertaining the children with two drama skits and some energetic dancing.

Then it was time for some popcorn and slushies from ADT Fidelity and a braai.

The children could also get their faces painted at the ADT Fidelity stand, and they enjoyed a game of football with the members of Primrose Masters FC.

The football club thanks sponsors Pick n Pay Primrose, Greenvalley Fruit and Veg, Fidelity ADT, H20 Car Wash and the members of Primrose Masters FC, for making the day possible with their generous donations.

Apart from all the fun, the club also gave the school 200 hand towels and face cloths, football balls, tennis rackets and tennis balls.
