Fiston Kazumba: “One thing I noticed is that children should not be left alone when parents are at work. When you are working you should have someone look after your children.”
Teddy Moremedi: “We should teach children about safety and responsibility. Parents should take the time and talk to their children about the dangers on the streets and talking to strangers.”
Estelle Britz: “Children should not walk alone on the streets, they should rather walk with a parent or with someone who is older than them. They should also not get into cars with strangers.”
Nokuthula Sithole: “Children need to be educated more about the dangers of the outside world. They also need to be taught not to trust strangers and to keep away from dangerous areas.”
Lebohang Mootsi: “Children should be at school and involved in school activities while they are waiting for their parents or transport to fetch them as this will keep them off the streets.”
Malcolm Trollip: “Keep your children with you. It is no lie that the streets are dangerous and you cannot leave them alone. Even in malls, do not let your children out of your sight.”
