It was a busy weekend for officers from the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, detectives from the Katlehong Police Station and members of the EMPD.
During several weekend operations, held between January 10 and 12, police arrested 31 suspects.
The accused were charged with several different offences.

Charges included:
• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
• Common assault: 1
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 23
• Intimidation: 1
• Robbery: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Shoplifting: 1
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
