Robyn gives back to animals on her birthday

Robyn Smith once again raised funds to assist the Germiston SPCA.

When Robyn Smith from Denlee woke up on December 19, last year, she knew it was going to be a special day.

Not only was it her 25th birthday, but it was the day her hard work paid off.

She delivered 80 25kg bags of dog food (two tons) to the Germiston SPCA.

Every year on her birthday, the young, vibrant woman does something for charity, and the Germiston SPCA has become her charity of choice for her project.

She works throughout the year to raise funds for the project.

Last year she held a golf day at Germiston Golf Club, raising R15 000 to buy the food.

“Every year I am managing to increase the amount of funds raised and thus the food I can donate.

“Last year I donated 1.5 tons of food and this year increased it to two tons.

“I am hoping that every year I will be able to grow the initiative and keep increasing the amount of food,” Robyn said.

Robyn thanked everyone who participated in the golf day and helped her raise the funds.

She is looking forward to raising more funds to make the donation on her 26th birthday even bigger.
