EMPD officers find drugs worth R6 000 in Primrose

Suspect arrested allegedly with drugs in Primrose.

Working on a tip-off from concerned members of the public, EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) officers went to a house in Zinnia Street, Primrose, at about 10am last Friday.

Upon arrival, the officers found a 32-year-old woman allegedly in possession of narcotics.

“She was found in possession of five ziplock bags of crystal meth (each containing five grams) and valued at R6 000, as well as a portable digital scale,” said Kobeli Mokheseng, spokesperson for the EMPD.

“The suspect was arrested and she and the confiscated items were taken to the Primrose Police Station.”

Charges of possession of and dealing in illicit substances were registered and the suspect is expected to appear at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
