Print Exclusive: Local educator honoured for her hard work and dedication

Ithembelihle Lsen School was thrilled when one of its teachers won the Woolworths Phenomenal Woman Award and R10 000 for the school.

It was a day of celebration at Ithembelihle Lsen School, in Primrose East, on Wednesday.

The occasion?

The school’s chief education therapist and therapy head of department (HOD), Kuvendri Moodley, recently won the Woolworths Phenomenal Woman Award, and was celebrating the achievement with the school.

“I couldn’t celebrate the award without the children,” said Moodley when the GCN visited her at the school.

Kuvendri Moodley (Ithembelihle Lsen School’s chief education therapist and therapy head of department) said she could not celebrate her Woolworths Phenomenal Woman Award without the children from the school.

Moodley, who is a speech therapist and audiologist by profession, was nominated for the award by one of the school’s Grade R parents.
