Carnival City recently hosted its annual Career Day.

Carnival City hosted its annual Career Day at its Big Top Arena recently to give young people, who are unsure of which career path to take, an opportunity to explore their options.

The event provides a platform for Grade 10, 11 and 12 learners from high schools in Ekurhuleni to engage with potential employers from different industries, educational institutions, and career counsellors, among others.

About 4 000 learners attended the expo.

“Our career day offered youngsters a chance to learn more about the career opportunities available to them in various industries, as well as expose them to potential employers and educational institutions at a crucial stage of their educational journey.

“It is at this stage that learners need guidance about choosing the right subjects and courses in order to pursue careers in fields that are appropriate to their personalities and strengths,” said Carnival City’s general manager, Annemie Turk.
