EMPD officers pounce on alleged drug dealers in Katlehong south

EMPD DEU members arrest two for allegedly dealing in drugs.

Two male suspects were arrested by members of the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), following a tip-off, in the south of Katlehong last Thursday just after 2pm.

The pair, aged 24 and 33, were found at their premises in possession of four paper-wrapped pieces of Kat, 34 zip lock bags containing paper-wrapped packages of dagga, two full Mandrax tablets and one half of a Mandrax tablet.

The street value of the confiscated narcotics is around R1 600.

Officers also confiscated R500 cash, the suspects were arrested and taken to the Katlehong Police Station.

They are due to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
