ALERT: Severe thunderstorm with possibility of large hail predicted for Ekurhuleni

DEMS is warning the community to take heed of the weather warning.

The South African Weather Services (SAWS) is anticipating a severe thunderstorm, accompanied by possible large hail and strong gusty winds, in some areas of Gauteng, including Ekurhuleni later this afternoon.

Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) is on high alert and warns residents to be vigilant and to notifying emergency services if they experience any life-threatening eventualities.

Firefighters at all of the metro’s 29 fire stations are ready, as always, to respond to thunderstorm-related emergencies and other emergencies.
